Observe experienced therapists treating children with occupational therapy in combination with other interventions as used in the unique STAR Center model of research-based intervention.

Study with sensory pioneer Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, OTR, founder and executive director of the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation, and Sarah A. Schoen, PhD, OTR, assistant director of research for the Foundation.

• Learn basic principles of the STAR treatment model
• Learn about SPD subtypes and clinical reasoning tools for treatment planning
• Learn how to combine treatment approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Integrated Listening Systems, and Cognitive Strategies)
• Learn what assessment tools and clinical observations strategies are used at STAR Center
• Train in selection and administration of standardized scales, clinical observation, and published parent/teacher report measures
• Earn competency credentials and 3.2 AOTA continuing education units
