Intensive Overview of Sensory Processing Disorder 4-Day Professional Development Program

September 12-15, 2011

Intensive training in SPD is not just for OTs anymore! Based on your requests, we have developed a new professional development program that is based on our Level 1 Intensive Mentorship for occupational therapists. This program is designed for physicians, psychologists, social workers, teachers and others interested in learning more about Sensory Processing Disorder.

Faculty includes Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, OTR, Sarah A. Schoen, PhD, OTR, Roianne Ahn, PhD, Michael Frank, MD, and other professionals from the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation and STAR (Sensory Therapies And Research) Center.

Participate in didactic lecture sessions where you will learn:

  • Definition of SPD subtypes and identification
  • Treatment principles by SPD subtype
  • Differentiating SPD from other clinical disorders
  • Red flags for identifying SPD in infants, adolescents and adults
  • Latest SPD research
  • Engagement and social participation

And more ...

Observe sensory-based treatment sessions with commentary from our faculty as well as videotaped examples of treatment sessions that connect the theory and practice of treating children with sensory issues.

Join in-group discussions to develop ways to address sensory issues for the clients in your practice setting.

It only comes around once per year. This is a small-group, tailored learning experience you won't want to miss. Won't you join us this September?

Seating is limited. Register now.
