The Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation is privileged to present Kay A. Toomey, PhD, Pediatric Psychologist, teaching her internationally renowned .

The Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S) Approach to Feeding is a family-centered, transdisciplinary program for assessing and treating children with weight/growth problems from birth to 18 years. It integrates postural, sensory, motor, behavioral/learning, medical and nutritional factors to comprehensively evaluate and manage children with feeding/growth problems.

Basic Course:
December 1 - 3, 2010

Advanced Course*:
December 4 and/or 5, 2010

*Advanced Course intended for professionals who work with children with feeding difficulties and have completed Basic SOS 3-day Course.

Who should attend: Speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, psychologists, physical therapists, early intervention specialists, nurses, physicians, dietitians and mental health workers.

Location: Summit Event Center, 411 Sable Boulevard, Aurora, CO 80011

Continuing Education: AOTA and ASHA continuing education credit awarded. Basic Course 22.5 hours; Advanced Course 7.5 hours each day

Faculty:

, Pediatric Psychologist and Clinical Director of SOS Feeding Solutions at STAR (Sensory Therapies And Research) Center. Dr. Toomey developed the SOS Approach to Feeding and has been teaching and consulting internationally to professionals and parents for over 20 years.

Erin Ross, PhD, CCC-SLP, specializes in evaluating and treating feeding and growth problems in medically-fragile infants and children and is a member of the SOS Feeding Solutions team at STAR Center.
