Technical requirements: Any computer equipped with sound and a high-speed broadband Internet connection with MS Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher (or the equivalent for MAC) can be used for classes on the SPD Learning Campus. When do classes start?
We're still putting the finishing touches on the e-Learning campus! Classes are now expected to begin any day now!.
How long does the course run?
The entire course runs about 4 hours if taken without interruption.
Do I have to take the whole course - or any class - all at once?
NO! E-Learning on the SPD Learning Campus allows you to come and go as often as you want, whenever you want. Ideal for the busy parent or professional.
How much time do I get to complete my course?
Once the campus is open, you will receive a link to log on. You will have 30 days to access the campus whenever you like after your initial log in.
Will I need to download any materials for the course?
No materials will be necessary for the course.
How many CEUs will be offered for the course?
The number of CEUs to be earned is still pending, but we expect approximately .4 CEUs to be awarded after completion of the course. A certificate of completion will be e-mailed to you upon completion.
How is e-Learning different from other online programs offering SPD education?
E-Learning is an entirely original program produced specifically to provide SPD education. It is NOT just videos of "talking heads." Classes are interactive and engaging - dramatically illustrated by real-life videos of children at home and in the clinic. Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, author of Sensational Kids: Hope and Help for Children with Sensory Processing Disorder, has personally supervised the course development and is featured on-camera.
