Level 2 Mentorship

Prerequisite: Level 1 Intensive Mentorship Program
The objective of Level 2 is to develop advanced treatment skills. Participants will have an opportunity to apply knowledge from Level 1 by treating STAR Center clients and participant in active mentoring from Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, Dr. Sarah A Schoen, and the STAR Center occupational therapy staff. Each participant will be responsible for the daily treatment of one client per day and will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting a family-centered interview
- Writing a Goal Attainment Scale with the family of the child you will be treating
- Utilizing clinical reasoning tools during treatment of each SPD subtype
- Completing daily documentation using STAR Center treatment note form
- Communicating feedback to families
- Engaging in group problem solving
- Making recommendations for home activities
- Providing parents with daily feedback.
- Engaging clients and families in the treatment process
Didactic lectures will be included in the schedule; the primary focus will be on actual treatment and mentoring.
The cost for the Level 2 Mentorship session is $1,500 ($250 deposit; $1,250 paid in full 30 days prior to program start).
